Blessed be the God and Father
Of our Lord Jesus Christ
To the praise of his glorious grace
We’re holy in his sight
In him we have redemption through his blood
The forgive-ness of our sins according to the riches
Of his grace, the mystery of his will in Christ
A plan for all, for earth and heaven to unite
Your love predestined our salvation
You chose us before the world’s foundation
In him we have great inheritance
And he has called us sons, adopted for eternity
The heirs of hope according to the working of his
Might in Christ, raised and seated up on high
In him we have the gospel of salvation
The word of truth, by grace we have believed and are
Sealed by God; the promised Holy Spirit,
The guarantee of all that’s set in heaven for us

Come let us look on our former life
From the garden we’re dead in our sin
We walked in darkness without any light
We dug our graves and laid within
Children of wrath, like the rest of mankind,
From lust to lust we fed our greed
What power can make these dry bones breathe?
Is there grace enough to make dead men see?
But God raised us up
We are his workmanship, crafted in Christ
We are the strangers welcomed to dine
In the blood, by the cross, oh the walls they come down
In the Son, by the Spirit, a new family’s found
In the Son, by the Spirit, a new family’s found
Remember before we were hostile and lost
No hope in the world, without God, and far off
Our good works can’t help us, our boasting is vain
We need a new father, we need a new name
Where is the peace when we hate one another?
Can anyone save us from war between brothers?
We need a new building, a chief cornerstone,
God hear our prayers, build us a new home
But God raised us up
We are his workmanship, crafted in Christ
We are the strangers welcomed to dine
In the blood, by the cross, oh the walls they come down
In the Son, by the Spirit, a new family’s found
In the Son, by the Spirit, a new family’s found
Sons of disobedience, living for the passions of the body
Strangers to the covenant, without hope, without peace
Brought into home of God, in the spirit we are made Christ’s body
Building on the Cornerstone, joined together growing God's holy temple
We are his workmanship, crafted in Christ
We are the strangers welcomed to dine
In the blood, by the cross, oh the walls they come down
In the Son, by the Spirit, a new family’s found
In the Son, by the Spirit, a new family’s found
